A short while back, pmichaud volunteered to become the Perl6 compiler pumpking as Parrot is far enough along to start targeting. After taking the job, he worked quietly and diligently and just announced that the first cut of a grammar engine has been checked into Parrot CVS. While this is the first step in a long journey, it is exciting. You can read his annoucement here.
