There is simply no better choice to build your web community with.

unfortunately it is used by lots of people who haven't got the faintest idea about security, good programming techniques etc. Each day, at work we are confronted with hacked websites, servers and accounts due to forum software written in PHP, database interfaces written in PHP and e-mail forms written in PHP.

I'm not saying that there aren't any good PHP programs, but there is just so much crap, it's giving a few of my collegues a full days job cleaning up after them!
Taint checking and strictures would be a major improvement in PHP, bus I fear that will never happen (It forced to many people to actually write solid code, in stead of quit 'flexible' scripts, leaving it to the system administrators to clean up after them.
