It would be nice if everyone understood why Perl (and perlmonks) is so great, but not everyone does, and most of the religious anti-perl zealotry is little more than a mask to hide the fear that comes from ignorance.
It'd also be nice if Perl zealots understood the limitations of the language. I can see some real cool ideas in type inferencing, for instance. When I look on a site like Lambda the Ultimate and see Perl derided for ignoring the benifits of a real type system, I can't help but agree.
But PHPers have no right for anti-Perl zealotry in this regard.
