I was reading in some forums a couple of days ago about Object Oriented Databases where some people were saying that Perl isn't a truly Object Oriented language and thus can't interface well with OO databases. Being new to OO concepts I have no idea.

Does their assertion hold any water?

1) Is Perl a truly OO language?

2) Can it be interfaced with OO Databases easily?
