I wish on-line vendors (and American vendors seem to be particularly negligent in this respect) would try to remember what the first two 'w's in 'www' stand for.

Why is the field 'State' obligatory in the subscription form? Some countries, unlike the 'United States' don't have 'States' (not to mention that some don't even have 'zip codes').

I would like to subscribe to the on-line version, but unfortunately I can't, as the concept of 'State' in France is meaningless (we also don't have 'zip codes' but I have found that my 'postal code' will usually suffice :-).
