Hi,
When I substitute a variable (scalar), it appears that the
text has been interpreted in stead of just being replaced:
e.g:
$var = '<a href="somefilename(x)withanumberedhash.htm#666">';
s@$var@$somethingelse@;

How come? (and what to do about it?)
