I think that a more wide-spread acceptance of the usefulness of unit testing is the most important trend in software development in the last decade.
This is because it pinpoints one of the biggest problems we have; change is expensive and so is poor quality.
I know unit tests isn't "agile" per se, but it's at the core of most agile methods.
