Hi please can any one explain me what does the following code does , what is the use of USAGEMSG or USAGE 

use constant USAGEMSG => <<USAGE;
Usage:ftp.pl  [options] host:/path/to/directory 
Options:
         --user <user> Login name 
         --pass <pass> password
