Suggestion: make the regexp more lenient towards the PM base URL. I use http://perlmonks.org/, and I know for a fact that some other monks use http://www.perlmonks.com/ — this is exactly the reason we prefer [id://] in the first place!

So your monklinksOverlay.js needs a change, at least. (Maybe other files too, and sorry I'm not sending a patch, I'm on a machines with limited dev fu.)
