Admittedly I am not a die-hard programmer, and I do encourage others to give better ideas. This will work given two arrays with the same length. 

#!/usr/local/bin/perl

use strict;

my @array_one = ("1", "2", "3", "4", "5");
my @array_two = ("1", "2", "3", "4", "5");

for (my $i = 0; $i < ($#array_one + 1); $i++) {
  my $result = $array_one[$i] * $array_two[$i];
  print "$array_one[$i] multiplied by $array_two[$i] is $result\n";
}
