The stereotype of programming is that it involves sitting in a chair without moving, staring at a screen for hours or days while thinking furiously about a single problem. Eventually, that problem is defeated. Move to the next, goto 10.
There's a fair amount of truth in that.
Now that I'm doing a startup, however, I can't afford that. I need to be able to program on multiple tasks at a time and keep track of numerous other things all at once. This is hard, because I do not multi-task well by nature. I'm looking for books and sites on time management techniques, but I thought I would ask my fellow Monks if they had specific suggestions on how to keep multiple balls in the air simultaneously without dropping things.
Any thoughts?
