Hi All I've a small problem with CPAN. First of all, how do you update your cpan-information,
for example when i do
cpan> b
I get for two systems different output
I get the following output (snippets) (Linux system):
Bundle Bundle::Search::InvertedIndex (S/SN/SNOWHARE/Bundle-Se +arch-InvertedIndex-1.01.tar.gz) Bundle Bundle::Slash (C/CN/CNANDOR/Bundle-Slash-2.51.tar.gz +) Bundle Bundle::Sledge (M/MI/MIYAGAWA/Bundle-Sledge-0.04.tar. +gz) Bundle Bundle::Snapshot_2005_03_15_00 (N/A) Bundle Bundle::Snapshot_2005_03_15_01 (N/A) Bundle Bundle::Snapshot_2005_03_15_02 (N/A) Bundle Bundle::Snapshot_2005_03_15_03 (N/A) Bundle Bundle::Snapshot_2005_03_15_04 (N/A) Bundle Bundle::Snapshot_2005_03_22_00 (N/A) Bundle Bundle::Snapshot_2005_03_22_01 (N/A) Bundle Bundle::Snapshot_2005_03_29_00 (N/A) Bundle Bundle::Snapshot_2005_03_29_01 (N/A) Bundle Bundle::Snapshot_2005_03_29_02 (N/A) Bundle Bundle::Snapshot_2005_04_01_00 (N/A) Bundle Bundle::Snapshot_2005_04_01_01 (N/A) Bundle Bundle::Spiffy (I/IN/INGY/Spiffy-0.16.tar.gz) Bundle Bundle::Template::Magic (D/DO/DOMIZIO/Template-Magic-1 +.35.tar.gz) Bundle Bundle::Test (S/SZ/SZABGAB/Bundle-Test-1.03.tar.gz)
For my other computer (which is Unix) I get
Bundle Bundle::Schwern (M/MS/MSCHWERN/Bundle-Schwern-0.01.tar +.gz) Bundle Bundle::Search::InvertedIndex (S/SN/SNOWHARE/Bundle-Se +arch-InvertedIndex-1.01.tar.gz) Bundle Bundle::Slash (C/CN/CNANDOR/Bundle-Slash-2.51.tar.gz +) Bundle Bundle::Sledge (M/MI/MIYAGAWA/Bundle-Sledge-0.04.tar. +gz) Bundle Bundle::Snapshot_2005_04_01_00 (N/A) Bundle Bundle::Snapshot_2005_04_01_01 (N/A) Bundle Bundle::Snapshot_2005_04_01_02 (N/A) Bundle Bundle::Snapshot_2005_04_01_03 (N/A) Bundle Bundle::Snapshot_2005_04_01_04 (N/A) Bundle Bundle::Snapshot_2005_04_01_05 (N/A) Bundle Bundle::Snapshot_2005_04_01_06 (N/A) Bundle Bundle::Snapshot_2005_04_01_07 (N/A) Bundle Bundle::Snapshot_2005_04_01_08 (N/A) Bundle Bundle::Snapshot_2005_04_01_09 (N/A) Bundle Bundle::Spiffy (I/IN/INGY/Spiffy-0.16.tar.gz) Bundle Bundle::Template::Magic (D/DO/DOMIZIO/Template-Magic-1 +.35.tar.gz) Bundle Bundle::Test (S/SZ/SZABGAB/Bundle-Test-1.03.tar.gz)
How do I make them both up2date? I've noticed too that when i do
cpan> autobundle
not all bundles are listed. So how to update this

Furthermore is it possible to update perl from lets say from perl v5.8.2 to perl5.8.5 via CPAN

And my last question what does
cpan> make install
do ?? Luca
