I was wondering just now, how well perl code can cope when its under constant use. Im refering to its ability to process a lot of information and cope better than some other languages like Java or C++.
Also of interest to me is whether the fact that its not precompiled could affect its performance, again with reference to other languages. Would it be better to compile the code first so that each time it is run it doesn't have to be interpreted each time.
It just some thoughts i have had. If anyone has an opinion let me know.
Cheers.
