I am trying to arrive at a solution of building irregular 2d "pyrimids" or shapes. I only have the ability to use the following discreet thicknesses: 0.4, 0.8, 1.6, 2.4, 3.2, 4.7, 6.4
The idea is that a person will enter sets of number pairs (width, thickness) The thickness can be anything including "0". Groups are then determined and the thicknesses and widths are calculated. Here is an example:
1,2
1.5,3
2,5
1,4
3,0
2,1
1,3
2,2
4,1
1,4
The two groups would be the number pairs before "3,0" and the number pairs after "3,0". And the resulting width/thicknesses would be:
Group 1:
5.5,1.6
5.5,0.4
4.5,0.4
1.5,0.4
3,1.6
2,0.8
Put together group 1 would look like:
________
0.8 |________|____
______| |
0.4 |______|_____________| 1.6
____|____________________| 0.4
|_________________________| 0.4
| |
|_________________________| 1.6
And then the same idea for group 2.
Thanks in advance.
