"timid and trusting" - Ha! Very territorial, and quite viscious in defending their 'turf' - whatever they define that to be. For example: this report, quoting an article from the Brisbane Courier Mail. Not to mention the whole urinating on a politician thing. I guess they have taste, at least.

And this is quite aside from the matter that they are related to the well-known descendents of the arboreal pouncer, thylacoleo (misleadingly known as the Marsupial Lion), which still cause problems in forrested areas (cf articles by B.Felsche re "nocturna horribillus").
