Hi Stanley, This is great ..it works.Thanks a lot for your reply.Actually i was just wondering how i can use the connection object that we get by using the Net::Netrc to ftp files .I realise that i have to again connect using the Net::FTP to again connect and then ftp files. Earlier i got an error when i tried to use the same connection object from the lookup function for ftping of files and so i got an error. Thanks a lot again for you help. Bye
