Today I had to add a lot of text to one of my posts as an update (in response to some good questions/answers), and I (again) noticed that there is no <preview> option when I'm updating. True, most often an update is only a couple linex of text with barely any formatting... but what happens when you need to add a lot?
I personally had to open a new post window, type my update text in there and preview it, then cut and paste into original window. It works but is somewhat cumbersome. Wouldn't it be more useful to add an option to preview the updated node before posting it?
