OMG! Penis envy. Perl-Begin is not a competition to Perlmonks. It's a static site that just mostly concentrates links to books, tutorials, articles, resources, etc. It aims to be the first stop for people who wish to learn Perl. Like learn.perl.org only better.

Perl Monks is more of a web forum and hypertext web stuff, not exactly something beginners would want to consult first.

And I should note that I believe that the more Perl sites are there, the better.
