I've had less problems using Devel::SmallProf than many others. Be warned, it profiles line by line and so *really* slows down the runtime of your code, but the results seem pretty accurate.

The "good enough" maybe good enough for the now, and perfection maybe unobtainable, but that should not preclude us from striving for perfection, when time, circumstance or desire allow.
