Isolate the problem. Create a test script that does only the following:
  1. connect to the database
  2. run that SQL statement
  3. pull the data

If that works, then the problem isn't in that code. Plus, what's going on with the Mason stuff in your trace?

My criteria for good software:
  1. Does it work?
  2. Can someone else come in, make a change, and be reasonably certain no bugs were introduced?
