Is there any fundamental difference between 

{
  no strict 'refs';
  @methods = grep defined &{ "$pkg\::$_" }, keys %{ "$pkg\::" };
}

and 
{
  no strict 'refs';
  @methods = grep $pkg->can( $_ ), keys %{ $pkg . '::' };
}

? The second form looks to me a bit easier to understand at first glance, but I'm not 100% certain that it is equivalent to the first one.
