I don't know if this has been said/asked already .. apologies if so, my Super Search didn't turn it up.

A long time ago, I remember there being a number of discussions about mechanisms for refreshing the current node after, say, a form post.

I've recently found that it's possible to create a link in the Free Nodelet that allows you to do this: 

[`id`|Refresh Node]

I'm interested to know why this works.. using `id` like this doesn't strike me as at all obvious. I presume it's something to do with the templating of the site? Are there any other of these "variables" available?
