Ok, check out the jist of just combining something using
use Getopt::Std; && the BLOCK: for ($thing) {
/^(?:help)/ && { system "grep \&\& $0"; last BLOCK; };
/^(?:quit|exit|logout|stop)/ && do { die "bye!\n"; last BLOCK; };
# otherwise...
print "huh!?\n";
}
I wrote alot of things that use this type of style, this combined with switches is basically the easiest way to keep organicly hacking crap on to crap. Check out http://dreamscape.org/code/sthreads for a basic structure, also grab "switches" and also grab shells-that-write-shells
got yo back. good luck, you're thinkin in the right directions. I downvoted all these foolz and voted you up. :)
Make up your own mind, dont take code nor modules for granted. There's great wisdom to be learned from your own mistakes. Typing shit up yourself allways is the best remedy.
There's a lot of dumb lonely monks at this place. People who post cool code are allies, Cultures here are like vampires. Seriously. Watch out. :) hehe.
