Is it possible to queue the items on the front page in the order that they are posted there rather than (as seems to happen currently) in node creation order?
Are you familiar with the term SMOP?

In contrast to xdg, I think showing the frontpage in order of time frontpaged makes perfect sense and should not be optional.
