I'm interested in how other people tend to approach debugging.
Just about everything I write has Data::Dumper in it, and a lot of my old code still has things like :
#print Dumper %x;
I tend to leave the comments in as they are often useful if there is a problem later.
I did experiment with teh debugger in early days, but it just seeme more hassle than it was worth. Maybe I didn't give it enough chance ... who knows.
What are your preferred approaches?
