Contact the supplier of the feed. They probably already have standard solutions, because if they're providing the feed, they likely have someone who's already using it.

I work for an MLS (multiple listing service) that provides IDX feeds, but i dont work in that area. But i do know that we support the users of our IDX feed.

I use the most powerful debugger available: print!
