Hi Monks, I need to convert 16 digit hexadecimal numbers to 20 digit decimal numbers and this works with this 
$dec = `perl -Mbigint -wle "print 0x$value"`;

But this seems to take a lot of time if I have thousands of such numbers to be converted. Can any one of you suggest an alternative to make it much much faster than this. Thanks and regards, Sid
