Well, sorry for the incomplete description. I'm under unix (linux), and database is Oracle. The GUI should be provide access to several predefined tables and fields, so standard tools like phpMyAdmin will not do the job. Drop-down lists should be provided for some field values, or checkboxes to boolean types.

I will study suggested options tomorrow, many thanks for your help! Any other suggestions are welcome.
