Why the heck wouldn't 'make' be on a standard-issue install of Tiger?Because make(1) is really only necessary for people who install software from source packages, which the majority of Mac users, I strongly suspect, don't do. That's why they put it, along with the other developer tools, on a separate CD (or at least they used to - haven't seen Tiger).
