What you think about another syntax for importing constants from modules:

use Errno   qw( $EAGAIN $EINTR );
use Fcntl   qw( $O_NONBLOCK    );
use Socket  qw( $AF_INET       );
# die "epoll_wait: $!" if $! != $EINTR;
[download]

I think this way is better because:

• bareword subs is Bad Thing :)
• it's much faster in many cases (see Slow constants)
• this way 'use strict|warnings' can check spelling at compile time
• scalars can be ease interpolated in strings
• ... and this syntax can be added without any pain and without introducing any incompatibilities
