I try and cast upvotes for deserving nodes (or down votes for that matter) not based on the author due to their level, personality or anything else "personal."

I'm usually too lazy to cast votes. When I do cast them now, it's because I have a very strong opinion about a node. With levels visible, I think I would vote beginning monks' posts even when my opinion is weak, to help them learn how their nodes are received.
