We’re both arguing semantics. What I was saying is that “limitations” may make it sound as though they are accidental or due to bad design, and I pointed out that it is not so, but rather, they are very deliberate. If you then prefer “deliberate limitations” rather than “restrictions,” so be it; the terminology is not significant.
Makeshifts last the longest.
