This is a somewhat malty beer. With an alcohol content of around 8% there is some "burn" as it goes down with light hop notes. If I'm in the mood for hoppier beer of course I modify this recipe and double (or more) the hops going in.

Another mod to this recipe that I do quite often is to add 1 to 2 oz of Northern Brewer to this. I lack the language to describe what that does to the flavor, but I like it!
