In our "younger years" my wife was quite amicable to such activities. I think it is significant to note that the last time before the Maine incident she went camping (and quite happily I might add) was when she was 6 months pregnant with my elder child. That was in 1978.

I'm convinced there is a correlation between her being a mother and her deciding camping is "icky."
