If you go the route of WWW::Mechanize, you will have many useful resources at your disposal, extensive examples, many articles, and helpful modules such as HTTP::Recorder and WWW::Mechanize::Shell which automate the creation of your WWW::Mechanize scripts.

The "helpers" would be especially useful for those hidden inputs. And there is always Ethereal...
