That's very odd—I was thinking of the YAPC list, since I didn't get anything on it (assuming we're talking about the same YAPC list, of course—I mean the one I signed up for when I registered last spring). Possibly some overanxious spam-filter did the announcement in, or some other such mishap. In any case, my apologies for misattributing the cause.
