I'am a newcomer to perl and am currently taking cgi-perl classes. We are now studying hash and array's however I am still in a way confused on why you would want to use sprintf vs. printf when both do almost the same, why not just use printf to out put directly to the page. I know there is a method to the madness but I am falling short of understanding....
