Dear Monks--
I've just updated my code -- sorry for wasting everyone's time by giving bad code. I'm still back at the problem about the hash. Is it, finally, a dereferncing problem?
What in *heck* am I doing wrong here:
foreach $try (@array2)
{
$try =~/^(.*),"(.*)",(.*),(.*),"(.*)"/s;
$a = $1;
$b = $3;
$c =$4;
$d = $5;
$a =~s/"//g;
@bex = ($b, $4, $5); #this was the line I left out !!
if (!$Tex{$a}){$Tex{$a} = [@bex]};
};
After this loop, the only thing in the hash %Tex is the last thing added. Everything else has disappeared. What in the world am I doing wrong? As far as I can make out the data is all good.
Edit: g0n - removed stray br tag from code snippet
