Assuming I'm wish to enforce canonical paths, I believe:
($filename) = $filename =~ m{\A (/ ([\w./]+) )}smx and $filename !~ m{\.{2}\/}smx or die 'Bad filename';
Covers me. Correct? Is there a more elegant way to do this?
