Mucho thanks for that code snippet. Unfortunately, it produced that "internal server" error again. I'll keep tinkering with it to see what the problem might be.
I've ordered a tutorial on Perl (the so called "Llama" one) and am next going to check your website tutorial. It looks to me like Perl is one, ugly duckling of a language, complete with all the worts of C & C++. But I'm used to being abused by designers of languages, as most of us are:-)
Coupled with the fact that I'm back in a UNIX environment on my web host, it looks like it's going to be "switch" city again. But I guess that's the price we all have to pay for UNIX being so stable, while my Win95/98 crashes daily.
Too bad somebody can't invent a version of Perl (for our must have UNIX environment) that as easy to learn as Visual Basic, but keeps its apparently great string manipulation functions.
Yeah, I know, dream on. Or move to a server that supports ASP, right?
Thanks again for your help, amigo. I better get crackin' on the tutorials. All those environment variables are waiting for me out there.
