Consider :
This gives me output of the form :#!/usr/local/bin/perl -w use strict; use XML::Twig; my $xml_twig = XML::Twig->new( pretty_print => 'indented', NoLWP => 1, discard_spaces => 1, ); $xml_twig->parse ( \*DATA ) || die "\nError parsing data $@\n"; foreach my $element ( $xml_twig->get_xpath("/*/*") ) { $xml_twig->set_root($element); print "\n\nName : " . $element->name . "\n"; $xml_twig->print; print "\n"; } __DATA__ <myconfig_data> <level1> <tag>hello1</tag> </level1> <level2> <tag>hello2</tag> </level2> <level3> <tag>hello3</tag> </level3> </myconfig_data>
Name : level1 <level1> <tag>hello1</tag> </level1> Name : level2 <level2> <tag>hello2</tag> </level2> Name : level3 <level3> <tag>hello3</tag> </level3>
Whereas I need output of the form :
Name : level1 <myconfig_data> <level1> <tag>hello1</tag> </level1> </myconfig_data> ...etc
- ie 'fully qualified'.
I think it may be my approach, but any suggestions ?
NB - I have simplified to this example as I will be using element names to create separate output files and maybe some particular processing for specific elements etc. ( including skipping some ! ) Many thanks. John.
