  6. Correct usage of my, our, local.
  7. Proper reference construction and use.
  8. Basic understanding of Perl RegEx.
  9. How to write a module (e.g. have read perlmodlib and perlmodstyle).
  10. How to accommodate multiple OSes (e.g. using File::Spec).
