I don't get why you didn't use a hash slice. 
my @sorted_words = @HashA{@sorted_scores};

   push(@sorted_words = $HashA{$_};

[download]
That is sooo wrong, I can't believe you wrote that. 
   push @sorted_words, $HashA{$_};
