hey gang,
Allow me to start by apologizing for a lack of research, but this just came to me:
Wouldn't it be nice to have a sort of super-CGI class that incorporates form validation, email validation, session management, DB interface, HTML templating, etc?
Perhaps this isn't well thought through, and maybe there's a reason it's not already been done, but I think it would be VERY nice to have one object from which you can do basically anything in your code with...
Some obvious drawbacks may perhaps be speed, organization, and/or security, but with the current modules out there, all one would REALLY need to do is just tie them together...
CGI::Application does this to an extent, however you must use all the plugin modules, which is something i'd like to get away from.
Does this sound somewhat reasonable?
