No kidding! Wow, this is the first time I've heard of anyone using FOCAL "in the wild".

Although it's not the first language I used (that would be Fortran on a CDC 6600), running FOCAL was part of a test for the first computer hardware I built. The hardware class at my college involved building a PDP-8 emulator, and you had to be able to calculate 300! (factorial) correctly using FOCAL on your machine to pass.

Those were the days....

Do not rebuke them with harsh words ... but rather lead them gently - with URLs - so that they may learn wisdom.
