Hi there!

I've got the following problem:

I'm using Windows 2000 Pro (German-Version) with installed Service Pack 1. My machine is an AMD Duron 750 MHz-CPU with 128 MB RAM and 30 GByte U-ATA/100 IBM DTLA 307030-HDD (destination-partition: ~ 10 GByte). The Perl-Version I'm trying to install is 5.6.0.616 Built: 07/14/2000.

After I have started the installation-program, accepted the license-terms, selected the files I want to install and choosen the destination-path, I'm activating all setup-options ('Add Perl to the PATH enviroment variable', 'Create Perl file extension association', 'Create IIS script mapping for Perl' and 'Create IIS script mapping for Perl ISAPI') and starting the installation-process by clickng on the 'Next'- and then on the 'Install'-Button.

The installation-program seems to work properly for a moment. 'Relocating Perl ...' is the last status-message which is shown. Now I can hear the HDD-activity but about 1 minute later there is no status-message shown and the HDD-activity stops. The status-bar shows, that the setup is not finished! First I thought, that the installation-program freezes but I can still click on the 'Cancel'-Button. BUT: Clicking on the 'Cancel'-Button shows a box which asks me, if I reall want to cancel the installation. Clicking on the 'Yes'-Button' does not show any activity! In the Start-menu I can see the program-group 'ActivePerl' in which 'Documentation' is shown. I tried to wait about 1 hour but there does not happen anything in this time! =(

Do somebody know, what's the problem and how to fix it? HEEEEEEEEEELP!
