Things like this might be better sent to ActiveState's technical support department. If you've bought the product, you're entitled to a certain degree of support in getting it installed and working. If you're just playing with a freely available version, I'd still consult the support section of their web site.

While all of us have a certain degree of skill with the Perl language itself, you'll find that a much smaller percentage of us delve into support issues in actually installing a distribution like ActiveState.

I don't mean to push you away, but this isn't really something you are likely to get resolved via this web site.
