My minimalist solution is to use some custom CSS to assign my username a unique color, easily identifiable in Recently Active Threads. Granted, that works best when I am the OP, but you should be able to tweak RAT's settings to give you greater depth, etc.

I second davido's idea, though - code something up, post it, rake in megaXP... ;-)
