righto!
XML is a funny thing 
turning out to be more like java every day

in at least the cross compatibility stuffs
{engine incompatiility} 
ive found xml-xql xml-ql and there is also 
xsql

which has no perl modules 
but which is what im looking for
basically it takes a sql statement 
inside of an xml file
take the xslt and bam fills
it in 

there is a servlet oracle is developing
