Hello all,
Imagine a simple array of different scalars and references, some maybe simple values, array refs, scalar refs, hash refs, file refs or even some other type of refs.
Now imagine if that array was sent to a routine by a caller, the caller does not and cannot know upfront what type of scalars or references may exist within the array, but it needs to find out. Am I making sense so far ?
print "its probably a scalar ref." if(@_[0] =~ /^SCALAR/);
Is this the way forward ? it doesn't feel right to me, but then i don't know any better :(
Thanks in advance for your time and knowledge,
Isaac.
